 | I proposed to Shannon May 19,2018. I did have some help from some really great friends of ours. I couldn't have done it without them. I started talking to one of my very good close friends, around Shannon's birthday, about my proposal idea. He was excited to help me since he had the hot air balloon. As time went on, I got the call. It was the perfect day outside to do it. I had to get my butt in gear. I called all of Shannon's best friends, and with there help, my plan was going to happen. Actually, it was happening sooner than I had expected, but I was ready. The thing was I had to tell Shannon who is not an early morning person that we were getting up at 5:00 am on a Saturday morning. She had no clue what was going on except that we were checking out the hot air balloon. It was that morning that she found out that she was going for a ride in it. She was so nervous . When we arrived at the location, I started helping get the balloon out, and we all chipped in getting it ready for flight . Shannon's friends got her good. She had no clue what was about to happen. As we signed our life away, and got in the basket she grabbed my arm as she was nervous. As we waved goodbye to our friends and family, the balloon hit the top of the trees. It was beautiful. What an experience to share with Shannon as it was our first time together in a hot air balloon. The smiles that everyone had as we floated above the Finley River, let me know this day was going to be the best. I waited about halfway through the ride when I decided to propose. One of her best friends video taped it . I got her good. She had tears in her eyes, and of course she said YES! Later that day, she told me that it was the best day ever. Being able to share it with her best friends made it even more memorable. There is a funny story that goes along with it, but you'll have to ask Shannon about it. |
